How MATH 130 works

Open Canvas (master schedule + ALEKS)

Getting ready for a quiz or test

  1. Open the unit you're working on and learn the topic with its slides and videos.
  2. Do the matching homework in ALEKS.
  3. Practice with the unit's review tools and mock quizzes until the steps feel automatic.
  4. Check the date and sections for your next quiz or test, then take it in class on paper.

Course Units & Study Materials

Follow the course in teaching order.

Each unit uses the same learn → practice → checkpoint rhythm. Open the current unit and continue from the next unfinished step.

Unit 1 / Test 1

Foundations and algebra fluency

Topic focus: algebra foundations, linear equations and lines, functions and coordinate geometry, then quadratic applications.

Recommended start: follow Unit 1A–1D in order, complete the targeted practice and checkpoint after each, then use Unit 1E for mixed Test 1 retrieval.

Main resources: five offline-capable HTML decks, staged practice pools, quiz-window checkpoints, topic reference, formulas, and progress history.

Unit 2 / Test 2

Interest, logarithms, and geometry

Topic focus: interest, logarithms, polygon geometry, circle geometry, and applications.

Recommended start: follow Units 2A–2D in order, complete the matching practice and Quiz 5–8 checkpoints, then use Unit 2E for Test 2 readiness.

Main resources: five HTML decks, ordered practice windows, quiz checkpoints, formulas, videos, and progress tracking. Quiz 9 is shown separately as the Unit 3 bridge.
