Start review starts the 20-minute review countdown. At zero the deck moves to setup and starts its 2-minute countdown. The quiz does not begin automatically: click Begin quiz only after distribution and instructions. It always starts a full 25 minutes. At zero, the deck moves to collection and starts a 3-minute countdown.

If you finish review early, choose Quiz setup. If behind, stop reviewing; do not borrow the quiz’s 25 minutes. For a late start, use slides 5–8 as the short route, then give the restrictions reminder and distribute. Apply established accommodations separately; do not shorten anyone’s authorized time.

Arrows / Space advance one worked step at a time. R toggles worked steps, T pauses/resumes the timer, Q opens quiz setup, N opens these notes, F toggles full screen, B blanks/unblanks the slide. End opens quiz setup. During the quiz, review navigation is locked to keep solutions off the screen. Reset asks for confirmation. Timer state survives a reload in the same tab when browser storage is available; a warning appears if storage is unavailable.

All review work can be done in existing notebooks. No Top Hat setup, entrance handout, separate exit ticket, or new ALEKS account setup is needed. No new LCD or rational-addition material is introduced before the quiz.

Quiz administration and sources

Use the separately prepared Guide V2 A/B print master: single-sided, one page per student, alternating versions. Keep the instructor key private. Announce existing resource policies rather than changing them today. Do not display quiz answer keys during administration.

[Sources] Course sequence: August 28 completed foundations, August 31 factoring-by-grouping lecture, and the separately prepared Quiz 1 Guide V2 package. Today is Wednesday, September 2, 2026. The 50-minute class duration is carried forward from the established session plan. The review expressions were written for this deck and differ from both quiz versions. Canvas dates are unchanged; homework remains in ALEKS.
